Sitting Bull Elementary School Classroom Addition
Apple Valley Unified School District

About Project

This 600 student elementary school is a “repeat” of WLC’s prototype elementary school campus. The campus is comprised of a main administration/multipurpose/library/kindergarten building along with three classrooms pods. The campus also utilizes six modular classrooms on permanent foundations, finished in plaster to match the permanent campus. The project shares common parking, playground areas, and site utilities with the adjacent middle school campus. Shared use allowed the District to minimize extra off-site costs for added street and signal improvements. The project team was able to work with the local water utility to dedicate the entire on-site water system to the water purveyor, resulting in the District being released from ongoing maintenance costs.
