Apple Valley High School ROP Kitchen Apple Valley Unified School District

This “CTE” project was developed in response to the District’s desire to “rehabilitate” an existing modular structure to accommodate the growing needs of its ROP culinary arts program.

About Project

The scope of work involved the relocation, major renovation, and the conversion of the existing multi-use building into a commercial grade teaching kitchen and dining facility. Major upgrades include: DSA required structural and ADA modifications, permanent foundation, reinforced structural floor and walls, installation of structural cage (to carry load of hood and roof top HVAC units), new mechanical, electrical and lighting systems, and required site utility infrastructure. Interior tenant improvements include: new epoxy flooring, stainless steel wall finishes, Mylar faced ceiling system, commercial kitchen hood with ansul system and dishwashing station. The District “outfitted” the kitchen with both new and existing appliances.
