The Victor Elementary School District’s most current elementary school will be a “repeat” project based on the Oak Meadows Elementary School prototype indoor school that was developed for the Menifee Union School District. This 53,412 square foot campus is designed to accommodate up to 700 students and offers typical elementary features including: 24 standard teaching spaces, 3 kindergarten rooms, computer lab, library, MPR with warming kitchen, administrative and support spaces. The project was originally approved by DSA in June 2007 and was resubmitted for approval with recent Title 24 code updates incorporated. With District authorization, WLC was able to develop up to $2.3 Million in Value Engineering strategies to help offset cost escalation increases from the prior 2007 construction budget (without a reduction in overall building square footage). The District is eager to bring the project “on line” to address projected growth and return to class size reduction.
