Project Description
The Excelsior Education Center (EEC) is a well-established charter school within the Victor Valley Union High School District that maintained existing modular facilities on the campus of the Victor Valley College. The “New Campus Project” scope encompassed the entire demolition of the existing site and a complete site reconfiguration (including onsite development and utility infrastructure) with all construction staging and infrastructure improvements being completed within an operational college campus. EEC’s new campus is comprised of three two-story modular classroom structures, multipurpose building, and central courtyard. The Client has elected to complete the project in phases and move forward to maximize the amount of square footage that could be built in today’s “advantageous bid climate”. Phase 1 included construction of all on-site development and two of the three modular classroom structures. Phase 2 was completed after receipt of approved State funding and included the third modular, multipurpose building, and remaining site work.
