The Victor Elementary School District is committed to upgrading all District environmental controls equipment with new energy efficient HVAC units and EMS controls to exceed current T-24 Code standards. Consistent with Proposition 39 recommendations, the District HVAC Retrofit project encompasses the “change-out” of existing HVAC equipment to 50 High Efficiency Gas-Electric Roof Mount (15 SEER) units and 58 Wall Pack Electric Heat Pump (15 SEER) units at the District’s first two campuses (Mojave VistaNillage Elementary Schools). The District initially requested the use of Ultra High Efficiency (20 SEER) roof mount units, but at an added $9,400 per unit, the District opted to change to the 15 SEER alternative. The EMS controls were upgraded to “Carrier Open Control” global web-based system by Russell Sigler Controls Group.
